About Innocean

Innocean are the biggest agency youve never heard of. With 31 offices and more than 3000 employees in 21 countries.
Were the fastest growing agency network in the world.

Opening doors in Australia in 2008 with two foundation clients; Hyundai and Kia. Since 2020 the Sydney business has been on a mission to diversify our roster which now includes FMCG, NGO, Medical, Tourism and Technology brands, not to mention our own Gender Equality not for profit division called Fck the Cupcakes.

Were a proud and ambitious group of over 50 creatives, strategists, account people, technologists, analysts, and producers who work together in a flat and collaborative environment. Building creative solutions across all touchpoints on a consumers journey with a brand.

Were proudly Korean, uniquely Australian; striving to create a culture that embraces a Korean concept called Jeong.
An ineffable but mutually warm feeling of attachment between people who share a relationship and common purpose.

This feeling of connection underpins everything we do. Its how we create bonds between brands and consumers, and between us and our clients. Think of us as an extension of the marketing team. One with strategic, creative and CX capabilities to deliver work that connects across multiple platforms, driving acquisition and retention.

About the Role

You are responsible for creating the conditions to make great work.

You own the senior day-to-day relationship, you understand the brand and the business behind it, and you hold the agencys standards of creative excellence, timeliness and profitability while the work moves.

Kia is a creative account built around big above-the-line work: brand platforms and model launch campaigns at national scale, alongside a long-standing Australian Open partnership. The work is high-stakes rather than high-volume fewer campaigns, bigger budgets, and more eyes on every one of them. Your job is to get ambitious ideas made and keep them intact on the way through.

This is Fearless Creativity in practice: ideas that look counterintuitive until the insight, strategy and data catch up with them, and account leadership steady enough to hold its nerve while that happens.

Leadership

Lead the Kia account team day to day — setting direction, allocating work and holding the standard.

Grow your Account Manager: clear briefs, real feedback, visible progression.

Create the conditions for great work: protect thinking time, hold the line on timings, remove blockers early.

Keep your Client Partner ahead of the news — good and bad, early.

Spot problems while they are still small, and own the fix.

Client Relationship Management

Own the senior day-to-day relationship with the Kia Australia marketing team.

Build genuine knowledge of Kia’s business: model portfolio, sales targets, dealer pressures, competitive set.

Manage expectations honestly. Tell the client what they need to hear and keep them in the room.

Act as the brand’s advocate in the agency’s internal conversations.

Identify growth opportunities for Kia and for the agency, and bring them unprompted.

Strategy & Brand Stewardship

Contribute to the strategic direction of the Kia brand and its communications planning.

Arm Strategy and Insights with the business context and client intelligence they need.

Ensure briefs are sharp, single-minded and inspiring before they reach Creative.

Hold work to the strategy — lead the client back to the objective when a project drifts.

Support the case study, PCA and awards process with performance evidence.

Creative Development & Production

Shepherd big ATL ideas from brief to broadcast — protecting the thought through development, client approval, production and post.

Bring it all together: insights, strategy, creative and production, to deliver outstanding work that works.

Partner with Creative and Production on scope, feasibility and budget early, so ambition and reality meet before a concept is sold.

Lead major shoots end to end: talent, locations, schedules, approvals and on-set decision-making.

Ensure success measures are agreed before launch, not after.

Account & Campaign Management

Lead delivery of Kia brand platforms and model launch campaigns — to scope, to standard, on time, on budget.

Run multiple briefs, shoots and launch windows concurrently without dropping quality.

Own the client presentation: sell the idea, take the questions, hold the agency’s point of view.

Hold the team to accurate contact reports and closed-out actions after every meeting.

Manage sponsorship and partnership activity, including Australian Open assets, through to delivery.

Commercial Ownership

Lead the financial side of the account: scopes, budgets and job cost reconciliations.

Scope work accurately, track it against fee, and flag over-servicing before it becomes a write-off.

Support the Client Partner on retained revenue and organic growth.

Forecast resource requirements at the fortnightly exec WIP.

Compliance & Category Governance

Ensure all work complies with the AANA Codes as administered by Ad Standards.

Apply the FCAI Voluntary Code of Practice for Motor Vehicle Advertising to every piece of Kia communication — vehicle depiction, driving behaviour, speed, safety and off-road claims.

Raise compliance risk at concept stage, not at delivery, so ideas are shaped rather than salvaged.

Flag foreseeable regulatory or reputational risk to the client early, with a recommended course of action.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

Keep the work aligned with Kia’s media agency and other partner agencies so the brand stays coherent across every touchpoint.

Build and earn trust across internal departments.

Contribute to reviews of junior team members.
